The Training Plan.

Para Golf LLC MAX Training Tee - Training Program

“Train Better, Play Better”

The training program consists of 6 basic phases. To advance to the beginner and intermediate phases, the golfer must score 60% in three consecutive tries to advance to the next phase.

Beginner phase.

This phase focuses on proper low-point (bottom of the swing) control with the training tee. (No ball is used) During this phase, the golfer will place a target (range bucket or something similar) 5 yards away. The golfer practices hitting the tee toward the target. The tee must come within 5 feet of the target to score a hit.

Beginner phase +.

This phase continues to focus on proper low-point control with a golf ball on the training tee. During this phase, the golfer will try to hit a target 10 yards away. The ball must land within 10 feet of the target to score a hit.

Intermediate phase.

This phase continues to focus on proper low point control with a golf ball placed on the training tee.  During this phase, the golfer will try to hit a target from 25 yards. The ball must land within 30 feet of the target to score a hit

Intermediate phase +.

This phase continues to focus on proper low point control, club path and club face control. The golfer will try to hit a target from 50 yards.  The golfer must land within 40 feet of the target to score a hit.

Advanced Phase.

This phase builds upon the confidence the golfer achieved to this point. By this phase, the golfer should be able to produce a full swing motion with appropriate low point control and possess a proper club path.  This phase measures the golfer’s ability to use mid irons to reach targets of 100 yards.  Playing on the course, the golfer will start his or her play from the 100-yard marker using Para Golf LLC.  MAX Training Tee. The golfer will have to average strokes per hole and shoot 36 strokes for nine holes.

Advanced Phase +.

During this phase the golfer will score 60% hit rates during normal play (on the course).  The golfer will start each hole by using the 100-yard marker. During this phase, the golfer WILL NOT use the Para Golf LLC MAX Training Tee. The golfer will have four strokes per hole averaging par at 36 strokes for nine holes.

Note* New golfers, regardless of age, should consider lessons from a PGA professional and enroll in either First Tee or OP 36 programs. The goal of golf is to learn how to play AND have fun doing it!
